Welford on Avon lies 5 miles downstream from Stratford, a little village with some of the most picturesque cottages in Warwickshire.
I took these snaps on a Sunday morning. I'd just passed through Stratford, which was packed with tourists. It is surprising to come into this quiet village, just 10 minutes from the bustle of Stratford.

The chestnut tree is dwarfed by the village Maypole (hidden directly behind the chestnut tree in the picture above).
